HELPING HANDS YOUTH MINISTRY WILL HAVE THEIR FREE SCHOOL SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION AT THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH TOWARDS THE END OF SUMMER

 

Preschool School Supply List

Bookbag (not toddler size)

4 Elmer’s glue sticks

1 box of Kleenexes

1 container of disinfecting wipes

1 folder

Complete change of clothes (in labeled zip lock bag)

PE shoes to keep at school (no tie shoes, please)

 

Kindergarten School Supply List

**all supplies should be labeled with child’s name

Headphones (not wireless)

5 pencils (sharpened)

2 boxes of 16 crayons

book bag

pencil box 

2 large erasers (not the pencil top style)

scissors (Fiskars works best)

12 glue sticks

2 boxes of Kleenexes

1 rest rug/mat

2 containers disinfecting wipes

PE shoes to keep at school (if your child does not know how to tie shoes, please send no-tie shoes for PE)

 

First Grade School Supply List

o 12-24 pencils

o 2 boxes-24 crayons

o 6-10 glue sticks

o 1 box of broad tip markers

o 1 pair of scissors

o 1 pocket folder without prongs

o 2 plastic pencil boxes

o 3 containers of disinfecting wipes

o Headphones that plug into iPads

o PE shoes to keep at school (Please consider no tie shoes if your child is

unable to tie their own shoes.  Also, please make sure your child wears tennis shoes to school on PE days just in case they go outside for PE, as the PE shoes brought will only be worn in the gym) 

 

OPTIONAL ITEMS:

o 1 box of colored pencils

o 1 container of Play-Doh


 

Second Grade School Supply List

8 sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga pencils work great, sharpen well and have good erasers)

large eraser 

sharp scissors (small ones don’t fit their hands anymore)

8 glue sticks

box of crayons (up to 48) 

8 or 10 pack washable markers

spiral notebook-wide ruled

1 plastic pocket folder without prongs

small school box

3 boxes of Kleenex

1 container of disinfectant wipes

book bag

PE shoes to keep at school (if your child does not know how to tie shoes, please send no-tie shoes for PE)

No pencil sharpeners, pencil grips, pens or mechanical pencils

 

*PLEASE LABEL ALL SUPPLIES EXCEPT GLUE STICKS & PENCILS because they will be community supplies used by all students throughout the year.


 

Third Grade School Supply List

2 large boxes of Kleenex

2 containers of disinfecting wipes

1 box of Crayola Crayons (24 count)

1 box colored pencils

24 sharpened pencils (NO mechanical pencils)

1 large pink eraser

1 plastic pocket folders without prongs

4 glue sticks

Scissors

1 set of markers (no more than 10 count)

2 spiral notebooks (wide ruled)

1 CLEAR pencil box (snap closure)

2 YELLOW highlighters

2 RED pens

4 count EXPO dry erase markers (low odor)

1 pad of YELLOW sticky notes (3X3)

Extra pair of tennis shoes for PE (they will stay at school)

**pencils will be used as community classroom supplies so please do not label those with your child’s name**

 

Fourth-Sixth Grade School Supply List

2 boxes of Number 2 Pencils (shared by all so no names on them please)

Pencil box/Pencil Bag (pencil bags are preferred & they only need 1.)

1 pair of headphones (not earbuds) *Not expensive or fancy

Markers (1 box–6th GRADE ONLY)

5 spiral notebooks (1 Blue, 2 Red, 1 Green, 1 Yellow) College or Wide-rule is fine

Scissors

Hi-liters (at least two different colors)

2 glue sticks or a bottle of glue

5 2 pocket folders (1 Blue, 2 Red, 1 Green, 1 Yellow)

Deodorant (to leave at school for PE days)

3 boxes of Kleenexes

2 containers of disinfecting wipes

PE shoes (will stay at school)

4 dry erase markers

1 Composition Notebook (Wide-ruled)
