College Innovation Fair: Virtual Reality Classroom Experience
Beyond the competition floor, Landon made the most of the conference experience, attending the College Innovation Fair and connecting with representatives from colleges and education corporations nationwide. Highlights included exploring a virtual reality classroom and participating in the more than 40 breakout sessions covering favorite topic sessions of "Future Teachers Real Impact", “College Ready:  Surviving and Thriving” to "Slime and SEL" and “Sensory Sparks.".

This year's national conference, "Teach with Purpose, Lead with Passion," drew over 3,800 attendees, including 150+ Nebraska delegates. Keynote speakers included Ashlie Crosson, 2025 National Teacher of the Year, and Bryan Butcher Jr., 2025 Oregon State Teacher of the Year.

“I am incredibly proud of Landon’s accomplishments this year,” said Teacher Leader Ronita Jacobsen. “As a first-year competitor, the sheer volume of time he dedicated to research, job shadowing, speech writing, and presentation practice was immense. However, that level of commitment is exactly what it takes to succeed nationally. Landon set an ambitious goal and executed his plan perfectly to achieve it.”

The accomplishments of Landon reflect the dedication and excellence fostered at Plainview High School to their Education and Training Pathway, all 4 courses are dual credit through Wayne State College.  Congratulations to Landon on bringing pride to our school community.

The 2027 Educators Rising National Conference will be held in Columbus, Ohio. Plainview High School Educators Rising Members look forward to continued participation and success.
